Tiggety-Boo

Hello darlings! I am an agender artist with ADHD who attempts to complete artwork & often falls short of victory, as my attention is swayed between many projects and exciting ideas, ping-ponging inside my brain.
So..
Which hyperfixation do you seek today?

Michael Sheen

A strong focus on Miles Maitland in "Bright Young Things" but also remains generally Sheenish.

The Bright Young Things

My main body of research is of Stephen Tennant, however that has spread to include Cecil Beaton, Rex Whistler, Edith Olivier, Siegfried Sassoon, et al.

Much of my extensive research goes unseen, tied up on Google Docs and such. Once I find a safer way to display them, I will link it above.
Otherwise, you must wait for releases on SwooninglySteenie. Though I am already falling behind in posting.

About me

You may call me Tig or Tigg. My pronouns are they/them. I am a self-taught digital artist of 30+ years, an amateur researcher, a novice historic-fic writer, and a beginning diarist & poet. I want to try everything!I follow Eastern Standard Time, yet I often work on these creative hobbies late into the night. I am surrounded by 3 cats, various house plants, and shelved items which remind me of the real people for whom I hold great adoration & admiration. This is my comfort space.I believe that there is really nothing of interest about me as a person. My knowledge of my interests & mediocre art is all I have to offer the world. I'm not here to sell myself or my talent. I'm simply existing & doing my own thing.

About My Hyperfixations

I have a deep love of living & dead historical men in creative fields who exudes neurodivergent traits and adorns themselves androgynously. Once I hyperfixate on them, it is like falling in love. Similar to drawing them, I want to know every detail about them to flesh them out, so that they feel like they are alive. I want to crawl into their headspace to understand their motivations, thoughts and feelings. In the end, I have a desperate longing to feel a tangible connection to them in the present world.Though, with my attention torn between research, art, and writing, I have trouble knowing what to focus on each day. In the future, I may simply run out of steam on the subject, and all of those half-finished art pieces & stories, and research will be abandoned & lost due to burnout (usually reaching the end with nothing more to discover) or finding myself falling in love with another enigmatic dead person.

Being neurodivergent, I can struggle to grasp social situations. I feel that researching people is a way of understanding every aspect of the human condition which can then be applied to real life.Over the years, these people have painted this 'blank canvas' being into a colorful mosaic. I don't truly know who I am due to being painted by so many people who I take with me.

Major Past-Hyperfixations Include:
Harpo Marx, Buster Keaton, Michael Nesmith, LotR
Lifetime Interests: The Beatles, The Monkees, The 1960s, The 1920s, Zoology, Archaeology, Etymology, Historic fashion, Music (listening), and Historic Creative Arts (from film sets to roman sculptures), Ancient MythologyEach subject is broken down to understand the inner-workings and structure to better understand them, as well as its history and placement within history. Old things hold a magical value to me, like receiving a gift from the past. I'm more interested in historic subjects than modern.

About My Art

I am primarily a digital artist, using Clip Studio Paint and a Wacom Intuos CTL-6100WL. It can take days, weeks or months to finish a piece. Correcting lines and altering it until it looks similar to what I want.On occasion, I also dabble with traditional art, which is so much faster for me to finish, for traditional media is set in stone once placed on paper. I enjoy the combination of ballpoint pen & smudging pencil for shading. I also delight in using charcoal, watercolor pencils, a dip pen & ink & brush, and pastels. I am a novice at all of them, but it is a nice little treat to sit down & create a piece this way. My only limitation of finishing a piece is how quickly paint can dry, otherwise I can complete artwork within a days time.I began drawing when I was seven years old. Originally, I drew anything that I saw on TV; real people, cartoons, etc. But with the coming of Animaniacs and The Lion King, I became hooked on drawing animal-people in the late 1990s. Only recently did I begin relearning to draw real people again. I am self-taught, so I do the best I can with the bits and pieces I've picked up from various sources. I would love to know the proper way of drawing. Professional artists show the holes in my skill set which I lack in so many areas, such as poses, line of action, backgrounds, and perspective.I may need to take up traditional art again, just to produce completed sketches so that I can learn quicker.
